The Bailey Wing Man Culvert Wing Wall is a new innovation to address issues around the civil and infrastructure work efficiency.

Weight and Additional Ballast 

Constructed from Polyethylene plastic, the Bailey Wing Man offers strength at a fraction of the weight, at only 200 kg, it is easy to move, reducing transport costs and simplifying logistics. 

The roto-moulded construction means the wing wall is hollow and allows for the addition of up to 600 litres of ballast, equating to approximately 600 kilos, enhancing stability, leading to a total potential weight of 800 kilos when ballast is added.

The plastic construction also gives significant physical material characteristic advantages over conventional products:

  • Greater abrasion resistance
  • High resistance to aggressive chemicals
  • Excellent impact resistance
  • Twice as durable
  • Nonporous, so it will collect less organic growth


Compliance and Adaptability

The Wing Man can be used at the entrance of the water course to funnel water into the pipework, or at the exit to assist with the dispersal. 

The Wing Man also offers an add-on grate system through pre-molded mounting points for handrails to ensure compliance with safety regulations. The orifice is designed to accommodate both concrete pipe and Bailey Bazooka culvert pipe. we offer a range of adaptors for various pipework diameters from 600 mm down to 225 mm.

Environment and Sustainability 

The Bailey Wall Man is made from 100% recycled materials, diverting plastics that would otherwise go to landfill and repurposing them into a new product. Its low-carbon manufacturing process is significantly more sustainable compared to traditional concrete solutions, which are heavier and more resource-intensive. The lightweight design not only reduces carbon emissions during manufacturing but also minimises transportation impacts and fuel use.
